Experience has shown that abstinence which is only based on strong will and "checking oneself" will bring about drug consumption sooner or later. Substitute drugs are no solution for it, on the contrary, they lay down the addiction.
The solution is rather to remedy the different reasons for drug consumption. And this is exactly what the NARCONON Self Help Program is concerned with. It embraces the different parts of living and factors which lead to drug consumption. We are specialized on Heroin, Cocaine, Methadone, Alcohol, Cannabis, Ecstasy and Speed. The NARCONON Program "works" comparably successful for other addicts as well. |

| The Development of NARCONON | ||||||||||||||||||||
| The first NARCONON group was founded by William Benitez in 1966. Benitez was addicted to drugs since the age of 15 and has already tried to overcome his addiction through various kind of means without success. On his search for solutions he encountered a book of the humanist L. Ron Hubbard.
By means of the therein included philosophical-ethical basics and implementable methods for personal improvement, he could fully rehabilitate and overcame his addiction. Based on Hubbard's research results and cognitions, Benitez compiled a program in order to give other affected people this chance as well. He starts a pilot project which quickly got approval and opened the first NARCONON-Center in Los Angeles in 1972. Since that time the program was developed further and refined. |

Worldwide Successful | |||||||||||||||||||
| The NARCONON Program is carried out in one of the worldwide 145 NARCONON Centers. NARCONON Centers are independent, self-supporting facilities, which are normally organized as an association. The staff are socially commited, who had often been addicted in the past and know exactly how an addicted feels. Meanwhile NARCONON exists in 38 countries.
The NARCONON Centre Tirol is specialiced on german and english speaking public form all over the world. It is the biggest facility in the German-speaking area, wonderful located in the alps. |
